Southampton are on the hunt for a new manager following the sacking of Mauricio Pellegrino on Monday (March 12) after a run of just one win in 17 Premier League matches.
Their latest result was a 3-0 defeat at Newcastle United which leaves the Saints just one point outside the relegation zone with eight matches left to play.
Speculation has already started about who will succeed Pellegrino at St Mary's, with the Daily Mail claiming Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic is among those being considered.
Having guided the Cottagers to the playoffs last season Jokanovic is having another impressive campaign in the Championship this time around, currently on a 15-match unbeaten run in the league (winning 12 and drawing three) after beating Preston North End 2-1 at the weekend.
This excellent form has moved the West London club into fourth place in the second tier of English football, one point behind third-placed Aston Villa and five off Cardiff City and the automatic promotion spots.
Villa themselves have also been impressing and are on a 13-game unbeaten stretch themselves, which is why many fans of the Birmingham club are hoping that Jokanovic leaves Craven Cottage to move to Hampshire.
