Aston Villa can keep up their push for the Championship automatic promotion spots this evening as they take on Queens Park Rangers at Villa Park.

A 4-1 home win over league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday evening has given fans hope of a top two finish, but they must follow that win up with a victory tonight.

Manager Steve Bruce has again gone with Manchester United loanee Sam Johnstone in goal, whilst Ahmed Elmohamady, John Terry, James Chester and Neil Taylor line up in the back four.

Mile Jedinak and Conor Hourihane start in the middle of the park, whilst Robert Snodgrass, Jack Grealish and Albert Adomah support lone striker Lewis Grabban in attack.

Birkir Bjarnason is only on the bench even after scoring against Wolves on Saturday, alongside Mark Bunn, Henri Lansbury, Scott Hogan, James Bree, Josh Onomah and Keinan Davis.

Meanwhile, Alex Smithies starts in goal for QPR, with Darnell Furlong, Nedum Onuoha and Joel Lynch ahead of him, whilst Jake Bidwell and Pawel Wszolek line up as wing backs.

Massimo Luongo, Ryan Manning and Josh Scowen start in midfield, with Eberechi Eze supporting lone striker Matt Smith, meaning Conor Washington is only on the bench.

Matt Ingram, Alex Baptiste, James Perch, Luke Freeman, Jordan Cousins and Bright Osayi-Samuel are also named on the bench by Ian Holloway this evening.
