Batth featured for Wolves in the Championship game against Villa away from home at Villa Park on Saturday afternoon.
The 27-year-old central defender started the match and played for 68 minutes, as the Wanderers lost 4-1.
Wolves fans were not impressed with the performance of the centre-back, and believe that Batth’s career at the Molineux Stadium is over.
Usually see a few people stick up for batth but I didn't see one yesterday. Think he's done tbh #wwfc— (@adamBriant1993) 11 March 2018
Danny Batth turns about as quickly as a cruise liner. Hes no where near up to the level we require, Bennett HAS to come back in Tuesday, i think the team could do with a shake up as we have tried to cruise now for too long with Cardiff now well onto us! #wwfc— James (@Wheatleylad93) 11 March 2018
Batth should never wear a wolves shirt again I didn’t think I’d still be this pissed off— Rob Baker (@Rob_WWFC_Baker) 11 March 2018
Completely agree your points South, club captaincy is only thing keeping Batth in the mix. Last few weeks have proved we can't rely on the results going our way, it's still only in our hands to lose, which is why home support is so important this month... Let Villa have their moment, the better team won on the day. All that counts is how the table looks at the end of the season. 2 winnable games this week and it will all be forgotten about (sort of). I have a feeling D Batth won’t play for us again #wwfc— Richard Lewnes (@RichardLewnes) 11 March 2018
How Danny Batth made it to professional football I’ll never know. Putting an actual bath in defence would be more effective.— ginge (@wwfc_will) 11 March 2018
He’s a living fraud. He steals a living.— ginge (@wwfc_will) 11 March 2018
Poor 2nd half cost us anything from game. Defending for there first 2 goals was schoolboy!! Not sure we’ll see batth in a wwfc shirt again. Big week ahead, but I’m confident in Nuno & the boys to prove the doubters wrong!! #wwfc #wolves #believe— Paul Read (@wolfiereedy73) 11 March 2018
#wwfc I don't really like criticising players or manager decisions but Danny Batth can not start another game this season. Nuno needs to do the right thing and drop Batth and Leo. After the Fulham game I predicted we would lose 2 more games and still win the league— Sensei 先生 (@Mr94Official) 11 March 2018
Ridding this club of Batth isn’t negative, he should have gone in league one #wwfc— James Batham (@IbizaJay) 10 March 2018
Batth needs to go . Up against Adomah and Grealish, no hope :(— WolvesFCPodcast (@WolvesFCPodcast) 10 March 2018
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Villa Park on Saturday evening, visitors Wolves had 60% of the possession, took nine shots of which four were on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.
The defeat to Villa means that Wolves remain at the top of the Championship table, but Nuno's side could face a battle to win the league title.
The Wanderers are now just three points above second-placed Cardiff City, with Villa also in the hunt for an automatic promotion place.
