West Ham United are reportedly set to lose defenders Sam Byram and Winston Reid for the rest of the season after the duo suffered long-term injuries in the defeat to Swansea - but that has not stopped West Ham fans dishing out criticism.

Byram, 24, suffered an ankle injury that has ruled him out until after May this year, according to the London Evening Standard, after the former Leeds United right-back replaced Reid on Saturday during the 4-1 loss.

New Zealand international Reid has suffered a knee injury and now both players are expected to miss the rest of the campaign as the Hammers look set to enter a Premier League relegation dogfight.

Byram has been unlucky with injuries at the London Stadium since his move from Championship giants Leeds, and had only just recovered from a long-term hamstring injury recently.

Reid's loss sees the Hammer struggling for centre-backs after selling Jose Fonte and allowing Reece Oxford to join Borussia Monchengladbach on loan until the end of the season. But Hammers fans have still criticised the crocked duo.

The majority are looking for the West Ham hierarchy to replace the injured duo with new signings:
