Lasogga has scored 10 goals and created another four in 25 games for Leeds United this season.
Leeds United fans are reacting to a report which suggests that Hamburg will look to sell Pierre-Michel Lasogga if they are relegated from the Bundesliga.
Hamburg have nine games in which to overturn a seven-point deficit at the bottom of the table, or face their first ever venture to the German second tier.
According to Bild, Lasogga is one of the players Die Rothosen hope to make money on, following his impressive spell on loan to Leeds this season.
And it is suggested that a Premier League move could be on the cards for the 26-year-old, who is said to earn around £50,000 a week at Hamburg.
Given Lasogga's reported earnings, and with no mention of a buying option for Leeds (contrary to what Victor Orta, the Yorkshire side's director of football, told Leeds Live last month), several Whites fans fear for their chances of a permanent transfer - while others aren't so sure.
Here's what they're saying on Twitter...
and it's probably why we are trying to sign Jerry Mbakogu because the club know deep down they have no chance in making lasogga a permanent.— Craig (@lufcCraig) 6 March 2018
Woah so orta rads right hand man lied to us all?— jayjay82 (@jwh1982) 6 March 2018
Not good enough for the prem imo.— All Things Leeds United ⚽️ (@FocusOnTheFooty) 6 March 2018
He is not a PL striker by any stretch— Bite Your Legs (@biteyourlegs) 6 March 2018
Now this is loan player over the years I’d be gutted not signing permanently.— Barney (@BarneyStuart21) 6 March 2018
From the first time I saw him play I knew he was class, in PL I could imagine him being a Watford player and probably score 15 odd goals. What he lacks in pace he uses his movement #lufc https://t.co/lNkv2rykte
We could have signed Matt Smith on a permanent contract for less than Lasogga's loan, and he'd have challenged for every ball and scored as many goals.— Peter LUFC (@Peter_LUFC) 6 March 2018
But that's just my opinion, I don't have the facts like you do Marc.
Will Leeds sign Lasogga on a permanent basis?
