Reports in France this weekend are suggesting that Anthony Martial looks set to leave Manchester United in the summer, after becoming disillusioned with life at Old Trafford, with Tottenham Hotspur a potential destination.

RMC Sport suggest the French striker has decided he has no long-term future at the club following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez in the winter and the emergence of Marcus Rashford.

They even claim he has stopped searching for a new house in the area as he does not expect to be in Manchester next term.

The report then goes on to suggest Spurs are keen on the player, along with Inter Milan and Real Madrid, if Gareth Bale is to head to Old Trafford.

Tottenham have been looking for a back-up to Harry Kane for two seasons now and Martial, who could also play from the left-hand side, could finally be the man for the job in the long run.

Manchester United paid a fee reported by the BBC to be in the region of £36 million to bring Martial in from Monaco in 2015 and he made an immediate impact at the club.

But his first-team opportunities have dwindled and he is known to be frustrated with his lack of opportunities as a central striker.

Tottenham would likely have to match that fee if they wanted to bring in Martial this summer, but he could be a vital missing cog in their hunt for silverware in this golden era.
