Tottenham loanee Cameron Carter-Vickers impressed in the East Anglia derby.
Earlier in the season he played for Sheffield United against Sheffield Wednesday during his loan spell with the Blades.
Carter-Vickers yesterday featured for Ipswich Town in their 1-1 draw away with rivals Norwich City.
The 20-year-old looked comfortable performing at Championship level as he continues to hold down a spot in Ipswich's first choice XI.
The American defender made two interceptions and three clearances as his side kept Norwich quiet throughout the game before conceding a goal in the fifth minute of injury time.
Ipswich fans have been impressed with the loanee, and hailed his performance.
Cameron Carter-Vickers is bloody immense though, what a player #ITFC— Cameron (@lawseyitfc) February 18, 2018
First half we played ok, second half sat back and went back to the negative approach and Bart kept us in it. Spence for Iorfa, my word. Carter-Vickers very good again.— Ipswich Rojillo (@MatchdayFeeling) February 18, 2018
Carter-Vickers looking up for the game today. Looking class #ITFC— Wardy (@wardytractorboy) February 18, 2018
Carter-Vickers was excellent I thought. Absurd he wasn’t named MOTM. Can’t imagine how he compares us to Sheffield United. #itfc— Kierran Haynes (@KierranHaynes14) February 18, 2018
Carter-Vickers is currently doing everything expected of him at Ipswich and is picking up valuable experience.
He faces a serious challenge to get into the Tottenham team but he will return to the Premier League side as a better player than when he left.
His immediate task is to maintain his place in Ipswich's starting XI between now and the end of the season and show he can handle the physical challenge of playing twice a week on a repeated basis.
