Moussa Dembele has scored just nine goals for Celtic in all competitions this term.
Dembele had to deal with speculation over his future in the January transfer window, and he has suffered badly with injury this season.
The French forward’s form has not been as impressive as last term, when he scored goals with remarkable frequency.
But Rodgers believes that Celtic fans will see the best of the youngster soon, ahead of his side’s match with Zenit St Petersburg in the Europa League later this evening.
“He is beyond all of that now and he is back on track and working hard,” Rodgers said.
“His focus and concentration is good and when Moussa is at that level, he is real handful and one of the top young strikers about.”
Dembele has scored nine goals in 25 matches so far this season, across all competitions.
The 21-year-old has just one goal in Europe to his name, but is expected to start against Zenit this evening.
Rodgers has already suggested that Celtic’s first objective tonight will be to limit Zenit’s chances, and hopefully protect themselves from conceding an away goal.
Celtic made it to the knockout stages of the Europa League by finishing in third place in their Champions League group, ahead of Anderlecht.
