Fernando Llorente was left entirely out of the Tottenham Hotspur matchday squad against Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
The Spain international striker was not in the Spurs starting lineup or on the substitutes’ bench, as the Premier League club staged a comeback to draw the first leg of the last-16 tie 2-2.
The 32-year-old has struggled to make an impact at Tottenham since his move from Premier League rivals Swansea City in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £12 million.
The fact that the Spaniard was not even in the Tottenham matchday squad suggests that the striker could be on his way out of the club in the summer of 2018.
After all, Llorente travelled to Turin with the squad and even trained with the team on the eve of the first leg.
Even some Tottenham fans think that Llorente’s time at the club is coming to an end after being left out of the matchday squad against Juventus, as shown in the following posts on social networking site Twitter.
So happy Llorente isn’t on the bench, Son & Lucas will be a lot more effective coming on. I’m buzzzzing for this one #COYS— George (@thestorysospurs) February 13, 2018
Llorente not really got started at Spurs - surely he's finished here after being fit and not even making the bench anymore— Zoe Pearson (@Z_PearsonTHFC) February 13, 2018

Llorente:” I won’t celebrate vs Juve. I still get chills when I hear Juve”.— Samad (@Red1_S) February 13, 2018
Mauricio: “stay at home, you might need a blanket for those chills” #COYS
