Scott Brown has lavished praise on Celtic team-mate James Forrest following his hat-trick heroics on Saturday.

The 26-year-old winger scored three as Celtic edged out Partick Thistle 3-2 at Parkhead to move into the quarter-final of the Scottish Cup.

In doing so, Forrest now has 16 goals in all competitions and looks set to obliterate his previous best haul of nine during the 2011-12 campaign.

Brown led the tributes to his red-hot Hoops team-mate, while Moussa Dembele and Olivier Ntcham also added their sentiments on Twitter.

On this form you must wonder if there's any room for Patrick Roberts.

The Manchester City loanee has been out since November with a hamstring injury but he is expected to return soon, though he won't be playing ahead of Forrest.

The Scot is one of Celtic's most improved players under manager Brendan Rodgers and Roberts must be realistic and consider the distinct possibility that he'll be returning as a squad player.
