Leeds United are being linked with a move for Spanish attacking midfielder Álex Gallar in the summer. The 25-year-old playmaker has been in fine form in the Spanish second-tier this season as Huesca sit top of the pile in the hunt for La Liga football next season.

Diario De Leon have suggested Leeds are keen on signing the player in the summer and know plenty about his talent after he played with the Aspire Academy linked side Cultural Leonesa last season.

He was then signed by Huesca as a replacement for a player Leeds fans will know well. Samuel Saiz was the star at Huesca last season but he was snapped up by Leeds last summer. He has gone on to become a regular in the Leeds line-up, scoring five goals so far this season.

Galllar, who netted 20 goals for Cultural last term, has five goals and five assists for Huesca this campaign and has become a regular in their push for promotion.

Considering Leeds concluded business successfully with Huesca last summer with the transfer of Saiz, bringing in Gallar will not be considered too much of a challenge.

However, he may have the chance to play in La Liga next term, a fact that will undoubtedly give Leeds some convincing to do.
