The Colombian is being linked with taking Janssen's place in Istanbul.
Vincent Janssen of the Netherlands
Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has been linked with an exit from Glasgow recently. He has mentioned a desire to move on and has been linked with teams in China. Now he is the subject of interest from Turkish giants Fenerbahce, according to Fotospor. Fotospor reports Fenerbahce will target players under the age of 23, who can be seen as investments for the future, in the summer - Morelos therefore fits the bill.
His signing would be a replacement for Vincent Janssen, the Tottenham Hotspur loanee who is currently at Fenerbahce. InternetSpor are just one of many sources in Turkey this week suggesting the Turkish giants have already decided they will not be bringing in the player in the summer after poor form and injury trouble.
Tottenham Hotspur dutch striker Vincent Janssen
If Morelos does head to Fenerbahce, is it inconceivable that Rangers could move for Janssen as a consequence?
Spurs are not going to want him, he has been a dud in North London. Rangers have a good relationship with Tottenham and Janssen needs to find somewhere to repair his confidence.
Prior to his move to Spurs he was banging in goals for AZ Alkmaar in Holland and he could be a big hit at Rangers.
He could easily emulate fellow countryman Michael Mols, who scored plenty of goals in Glasgow when he made his move to Ibrox.
Alfredo Morelos of Rangers
Janssen is likely to be available on loan again this summer and Rangers, if they sell Morelos, will have plenty of money to cover a suitable amount of his wages.
It would be a good move for Rangers and a great one for Janssen himself who needs a season of regular football, and scoring goals, to get back on track.
If Morelos goes, Rangers must be ambitious and Janssen would be a great addition.
