Darren Moore is being considered by Barnsley to become their new manager, according to the Sun, following Paul Heckingbottom's departure to Leeds United.

Moore previously worked in the youth setup at West Bromwich Albion but was promoted to first team coach when Alan Pardew was named boss.

If the 43-year-old were to leave for Oakwell then could these three Baggies starlets be some of the first new players he targets?

Oliver Burke

No stranger to the Championship having made a name for himself at Nottingham Forest after coming through the ranks, Burke made the somewhat surprising switch to RB Leipzig in 2016.

A year later the 20-year-old was back in English football, though, but has struggled to cement a regular place at West Brom and could well be an option as a loan.

Sam Field

Someone Moore will know well as an academy product at the Hawthorns, Field is highly rated at the club yet has perhaps not received the amount of opportunities many would have expected so far this season.

Still only 19-years-old the midfielder still has plenty of time to develop and perhaps Barnsley could give the teenager his first loan spell and more regular game time.

Jonathan Leko

Another youth product that Moore will have worked with, Leko has already spent time in the second tier of English football this term, playing 11 times for Bristol City before being recalled in January.

Like Field, the 18-year-old has maybe played less senior appearances than many predicted and could possibly be available on a temporary, or even permanent, deal.
