Tottenham Hotspur will feature in one of their biggest games of the season on Saturday afternoon when they take on Arsenal in the North London derby.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side will head into the Premier League game at the Wembley Stadium in London with confidence.
Arsenal will also head into the North London derby with confidence, having hammered Everton 5-1 at the Emirates Stadium in the league last weekend.
Back on March 17, 2016, the two attacking players combined to help Borussia Dortmund win 2-1 against Tottenham at White Hart Lane in the second leg of the Europa League last-16 tie.
It was 29-year-old Armenia international attacking midfielder Mkhitaryan who set up 28-year-old Gabon international striker Aubameyang for Dortmund’s second goal, as the Bundesliga outfit won the tie 5-1 on aggregate.
Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang have already showed in the Premier League what they are capable of when playing with each other against Everton, and Tottenham should be fearful that history could repeat itself in the North London derby.
