Celtic's Patrick Roberts appears to be nearing a return.
Celtic have today posted a photo on Twitter of winger Patrick Roberts back in training, prompting excited responses from fans.
The Bhoys may have lost for a second time in domestic football under Brendan Rodgers over the weekend, but Celtic remain on course of another Scottish Premiership table.
Celtic's hopes of securing another title are set to bn boosted by the return of a number of injured players, with Stuart Armstrong and Tom Rogic both nearing comebacks.
Another player heading back to fitness is winger Patrick Roberts, with The Scottish Sun reporting that manager Rodgers hopes he will be back to full fitness in time for the second leg of the club's Europa League clash with Zenit St Petersburg.
Roberts, 21, has endured a frustrating campaign this season, as he has started just 10 games in all competitions for Celtic since returning on loan from Manchester City last summer.
It's now over two years since Roberts first signed on loan for Celtic, and whilst The Sun claim that Leicester City and West Ham United both want to sign Roberts this summer, he must aid Celtic's cause first.
Today, Celtic's official Twitter account posted up a photo of Roberts back in training, hinting that he is closing in on a return to action after suffering a hamstring injury back in November.
Celtic fans unsurprisingly responded with excitement, labelling Roberts as 'the English Messi' and suggesting that the Bhoys need him back in action, as Celtic look ahead to their final few months of Roberts being a Bhoy.
