Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has told Football.London that he intends to rotate his side for Wednesday's FA Cup replay against Newport County.

Spurs played out a dramatic 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Sunday evening, as Harry Kane's last-gasp penalty – after he had already missed one spot kick – rescued a point for Pochettino's men.

The fallout from the controversial end to the game continues, but Spurs have no time to dwell on that, as they will be facing Newport County in the FA Cup after only managing to draw their first meeting.

Kane was again the saviour for Spurs as they could only draw 1-1 at Rodney Parade against the League Two side last month, and the replay now presents Spurs with a chance to make it into the fifth round and setup a trip to either Millwall or Rochdale.

With the game coming so soon after a frantic game at Liverpool, manager Pochettino will have decisions to make regarding his team selection, and may well look to give fringe players a chance.

Speaking to Football.London ahead of Wednesday's game at Wembley Stadium, Pochettino was asked about his line-up plans, and hinted that changes are coming.

Pochettino admitted that he is going to rotate his time, and whilst he can't say exactly who is going to be playing, he needs to keep players fit for a very busy period, given that the Champions League returns this month.

“Yes, we are going to rotate the team for sure,” said Pochettino. “I can not say now like always but yes we need rotate and use players that haven't played too much in the Premier League. We have a very busy period and we need everyone fit and available to play,” he added.

New signing Lucas Moura won't be available having signed after the first leg, but the likes of Juan Foyth, Kyle Walker-Peters and even Paulo Gazzaniga could be in line for playing time as Spurs gear up to face Newport again.
