Liverpool fans are not happy with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain following his performance in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Arsenal man failed to make Jurgen Klopp's first XI for the visit of Tottenham, but the 24-year-old had half-an-hour in which to show the German that he was wrong to bench him.
The chance, however, passed him by following what was an anonymous cameo from the Liverpool ace, who was brilliant in last month's 4-3 win over Manchester City.
Oxlade-Chamberlain touched the ball on six occasions and misplaced two of his five attempted passes.
Not only that, but some Liverpool fans have questioned his desire when defensive midfielder Victor Wanyama ran past him and smashed home an 80th-minute equaliser for Tottenham from outside the box.
Oxlade chamberlain just completed 3 passes out of 5 attempted in 30 minutes. Dreadful performance #lfc— Aman (@Jugadu_banda) February 4, 2018
Apart from Salah's brilliant goal we were shocking that second half. Oxlade-Chamberlain was terrible.— Josh (@MakeUsDreamLFC5) February 4, 2018
Oxlade-Chamberlain has been shockingly bad since he came on. #LFC— Zonaldefending (@zonaldefending) February 4, 2018
I don't think I have ever seen a player come on as a substitute and play as terrible as Oxlade-chamberlain #lfc— Jacob (@JacobM270) February 4, 2018
I will say it again . Oxlade chamberlain is hopeless . Just stood there and watched wanyama .— Chris Riley (@ChrisRiley81) February 4, 2018
Oxlade Chamberlain not in it at all— LFCKoptalker (@LFC_Koptalker) February 4, 2018
Oxlade-Chamberlain will ocasionally throw up a wonderful performance, as he did against City, but consistency blighted his six-year spell at Arsenal and the low-key nature of his three or four appearances since beating Pep Guardiola's side might suggest that the same issues have followed him to Merseyside.
