Aaron Lennon came off the bench to make his Burnley debut against Newcastle United on Wednesday evening, more than a week since his transfer from Everton.
The former England winger was introduced with 30 minutes remaining as Burnley trailed Newcastle by a single Jamaal Lascelles goal.
And though he wasn't directly involved in Burnley's eventual equaliser five minutes from time - a Sam Vokes header which rebounded in via Magpies goalkeeper Karl Darlow - Clarets fans appear to be impressed with their January recruit, many of whom want him to start against Manchester City on Saturday lunchtime.
Here's what they're saying about Lennon's maiden performance for their side...
Lennon is gunna be a player for us— michelle (@clarets37) 31 January 2018
Lennon has to start the next game, id go 4 4 2 with the injuries and Bardsley dropped is a must— Richard Steele (@Steeley_BFC) 31 January 2018
At the risk of stating the obvious, Lowton to replace Bardsley and Lennon to replace Arfield. Come on Sean you know it makes sense #twitterclarets— Andy (@andyburnleyfc) 1 February 2018
Quality atmosphere tonight for Aaron Lennon when he came on. He changed the game when he came on, must start in the future, so promising. Class night #twitterclarets— George Poole (@GeorgePuddle) 31 January 2018
Looked a different side when Nkoudou and Lennon were on. Time Arfield and Bardsley were binned off #twitterclarets— Chris Wilson (@chriswilson1882) 31 January 2018
Love that we just keep going up until the very end, absolutely superb in the last 20 minutes. Lennon looks like he'll really add something extra to the side. Can't wait for Man City on Saturday, UTC!!!! #twitterclarets— Stuart Gaynor (@StueyG2009) 31 January 2018
Lennon did well on his debut. GK also had some quality touches and interceptions in a very limited time. I think we should start both of them. #twitterclarets— Erik Secic (@er_sec) 31 January 2018
Saturday 4-4-2 Lennon wide right, Bardsley out for Lowton. #twitterclarets— T0MMY (@twotone1975) 31 January 2018
Lennon looked decent tonight! Need a big shake up on Saturday, Bardsley just not performing of late. Lennon needs to start and surely 2 up top is necessary! #twitterclarets— Andy Dewhurst (@Dewhurst1882) 31 January 2018
Lennon's touch is so good. Can tell his career is that one level above #twitterclarets— Will (@wfrzr) 31 January 2018
Lennon spent three years at Everton, whose capture of Theo Walcott last month saw the 30-year-old nudged down the pecking order at Goodison Park.
Prior to that he played for Tottenham Hotspur and hometown team Leeds United, and won 21 England caps.
Burnley fans - what did you make of the former Everton winger's debut for the Clarets?
