Southampton are reportedly interested in landing Tottenham Hotspur winger Erik Lamela as the north Londoners near a move to land Paris Saint-Germain attacker Lucas Mours - and Spurs fans have reacted frustratingly.
The Independent claim the Saints have identified 25-year-old Lamela in order to boost their fight against relegation, with Mauricio Pellegrino's side currently sitting in 18th place.
It is believed that Southampton are hoping to use Spurs' impending deal to sign Moura in order to land Argentina international Lamela, who is on the fringes at Spurs following a double-hip operation.
He has been afforded just 273 minutes spread across 11 Premier League appearances since returning to full fitness in November, and has 18 months remaining on his contract at the Wembley Stadium.
Tottenham fans are desperate for their side to keep Lamela in north London, while some have suggested a handful of Southampton players they can sign in return.
One fan has asked if Spurs "can take Redmond" in return for Lamela.

Still no incoming signings... this is really frustrating and thats being awfully kind.— Shreyas Rao (@Spurs_Shreyas) January 31, 2018
It would be classic Spurs to strengthen our squad by bringing in Lucas Moura only to instantly weaken it again...— Hotspur Army (@HotspurArmy) January 31, 2018
They better not sell him, Lucas shouldn't be brought to replace lamela but to add to the squad— Henry (@henryfair) January 31, 2018
Only if we get Mahrez— Martin Morrison (@martmyte) January 31, 2018
