The striker looks set to join Crystal Palace ahead of Wednesday’s transfer deadline.

Crystal Palace have agreed a fee with FC Midtjylland for the signing of Alexander Sørloth, according to the Guardian [live blog entry 20:38].
It is claimed that Palace will pay an up front fee of €10 million [£8.75 million] with another €8 million [£7 million] potentially due in add-ons.
The Guardian report – which adds that, paperwork pending, the deal should beat this evening’s transfer deadline – emerged as Mitdjylland confirmed the arrival of Ukranian striker Artem Dovbyk, who is expected to replace Sørloth in Denmark.
Sørloth’s arrival would end Crystal Palace’s somewhat arduous pursuit of a new striker, which saw the likes of Jordan Hugill and Fyodor Smolov also linked with moves to Selhurst Park this week.
Rumoured deals for Lille’s Amadou Ibrahim and Getafe’s Vicente Guaita, however, are less certain as the January window reaches its climax.

Norway striker Sørloth has scored 15 goals in 26 games for Midtjylland, after joining them in a £315,000 deal from Holland’s FC Groningen last summer.
