Pierre-Michel Lasogga could be in line for just 12th Championship start of the season for Leeds United on Tuesday night as Thomas Christiansen's side face Hull City - and Leeds fans have urged their manager to start the target man.
Leeds travel to the KCOM Stadium to face Nigel Adkins' struggling side, as they look to put a dismal run of four losses and a draw that has seen the Yorkshire giants slip into the tenth place and knocked out of the FA Cup.
The Whites will be without a whole host of first-team stars to suspension. Samu Saiz still has four of his six-game ban to serve, while Eunan O'Kane, Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper are to remain on the sidelines.
It is likely to see Everton loanee Matthew Pennington partner Cooper, while teenager Ronaldo Vieira could go alongside new signing Adam Forshaw in the middle of the park.
But Leeds fans are desperate to see Lasogga start against Hull after the German scored a brace during the last-gasp 4-3 defeat to Millwall last time out, with supporters hoping the target man has returned to form.
One fan believes Leeds will get the best out of 26-year-old Lasogga if Christiansen's side "play to his strengths".
Looking forward to Lasogga’s 89th minute winner on Tuesday, raising his shirt over his head to celebrate, revealing the salute crest in front of the Hull south stand #lufc— NM (@nmarshall0) January 25, 2018
If we were gonna do 3 at the back v Hull, think it would look more like:— :) (@Max_LUFC) January 28, 2018
Berardi Jansson Pennington
Alioski De Bock
I like lasogga, no doubt talent, jus play to his strengths. Like he has to start. Was class 2nd half against milwall— alaw (@Kingbillymot) January 27, 2018
I'd not want him out wide, I'd either play him as a no.10 or centre forward. Can't see Pablo getting dropped as we need him for corners/free kicks and Lasogga needs a good run. Roofey could be a fantastic impact sub against tired legs— LJM (@passittosaiz) January 30, 2018
Dallas and De Bock wing backs, 3 at the back, RV and Forshaw, Pablo behind Lasogga and Roofe, bish bash bosh 0-3 Leeds tomorrow.— Luke Maloney (@Luke_Maloneyy) January 29, 2018
