Chelsea’s Charly Musonda appears to be on the verge of joining Celtic.

According to today’s edition of the Daily Record (p.51), Chelsea talent Charly Musonda will arrive into Glasgow today in order to seal an 18-month loan deal with Celtic.
Musonda, 21, started out his career in his native Belgium with Anderlecht, but moved on to Chelsea in 2012, where many have tipped him to become a star.

However, Musonda has struggled for first-team football with the Blues, making just seven first-team appearances during his time with the club, whilst he spent 2016 out on loan at Real Betis.
Now, after being an unused substitute in Sunday’s 3-0 FA Cup win over Newcastle United, Musonda is set to be loaned out again, with today’s edition of the Daily Record (p.51) claiming that he will arrive in Glasgow today to join Celtic.
It’s claimed that Musonda will jet in to complete his move, which will be an 18-month loan deal as the Bhoys land something of a coup with his signature.

Brendan Rodgers has seemingly used his contacts at former club Chelsea to secure a deal, despite interest from a host of other clubs, and he can now count on Musonda until the summer of 2019.
Musonda will now become Celtic’s third January signing, following Marvin Compper and Lewis Morgan to Celtic Park, though Morgan has been loaned back to St Mirren for the rest of the season.
