Celtic will make a second bid for Dundee defender Jack Hendry, according to The Daily Mail.

It has been reported that Dundee value the defender at £1.5 million, and that Celtic failed with an initial bid.

The Glasgow giants’ offer of £500,000 was turned down by their Scottish Premiership rivals, according to The Daily Mail.

Dundee manager Dundee manager Neil McCann himself recently told Sky Sports that they have rejected a low offer from Celtic for the Scottish youngster.

According to The Daily Mail, further discussions between Celtic and Dundee have taken place over the past 48 hours, and that a second bid from the Hoops is expected.

Hendry is a very talented and promising young defender, but the 22-year-old should be perceived as a long-term signing for the Hoops.

The former Partick Thistle centre-back is relatively inexperienced in terms of competitive football at the highest level, and it could take him a while to get used to the pressure and expectation of playing for Celtic.
