The newspaper reports that Leeds’ previous interest in the attacker puts the Whites in pole position, and they are the only potentially interested club mentioned in the report.
Buendia is an attacking midfielder who has scored three goals and provided eight assists this season.
He is just 21-years-old and has previously represented Argentina at under-20 level, where he scored two goals in four games.
Buendia is an exciting prospect and this is a deal well worth Leeds considering.
Their current ties with Leonesa should mean they are well aware of the playmaker, and his problems there could well be an opportunity for the Whites.
