West Ham United are the latest club to be credited with interest in Hendry, for whom Celtic are said to have had a £500,000 bid turned down.

West Ham United are one of several English and Scottish clubs who will watch Dundee defender Jack Hendry in action on Wednesday, according to the Daily Mail [live blog entry 14:49]. Hendry is said to be attracting interest from Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Newcastle United, Celtic and Rangers, and West Ham appear to have joined them.
The report claims Celtic have already had a £500,000 offer rejected for Hendry, with the Sunday Post reporting that the Bhoys are reluctant to meet Dundee’s £1.5 million asking price.

Such a figure is unlikely to faze West Ham, however, given the vast riches available to clubs south of the border.
Although, that being said, the Hammers are certainly not short in Hendry’s position, and have young talents of their own there in Declan Rice, Reece Burke and Reece Oxford.

Hendry has established himself as one of Scotland’s most promising players since his return to the Premiership from Wigan Athletic last summer, playing 27 times and scoring twice in all competitions.
The 22-year-old, who hails from Glasgow, began his career at Partick Thistle.
Are Celtic losing their grip on Hendry, with West Ham United appearing to have joined the race to sign him?
