It would appear that Tottenham Hotspur are in the market for a winger this month.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has been heavily linked with a move for Bordeaux talent Malcom, while Sky Sports claimed this week that Paris Saint-Germain outcast Lucas Moura is also on the radar after slipping down the pecking order in the French capital this season.

By virtue of the fact that Pochettino let Georges-Kevin Nkoudou join Burnley on a half-season loan, rumours of signing a wide player certainly make sense.

If Pochettino does sign a big player before the transfer window closes, it’s likely to be a winger, but Spurs fans are liking the look of a certain number 10 in France and have questioned why he isn’t on their radar.

Lyon beat PSG 2-1 at the Groupama Stadium on Sunday, with attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir opening the scoring within two minutes with a wonderful free kick.

The France international, who has 16 goals in 19 Ligue 1 starts this season, has been linked with Arsenal and Everton in the past, but Tottenham supporters would love to see him on the white side of North London as competition for Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli.

If and when Fekir outgrows Lyon, he won’t be leaving on the cheap.

The Sun reported back in November that then-suitors Arsenal would have to stump up around £60 million to sign him and, given how Pochettino needs a winger, and probably a back-up striker, signing a number 10 isn’t a priority.
