Liverpool have been tipped to make an offer for Roma star Emerson Palmieri, report Forza Roma.

Roma are willing to allow one of Emerson Palmieri or Bruno Peres to leave, and the Reds are reportedly circling.

It is claimed in the report that former Roma star Mohamed Salah has advised Liverpool to move for his former teammate.

Emerson Palmieri plays as a left-back, a problem position for the Reds in recent years, although new signing Andrew Robertson showed against Manchester City he can solve it.

Yet his rise to prominence is asking questions over Alberto Moreno's future, and Emerson Palmieri could replace him if he signs.

The report claims Liverpool are ready to make a move, reporting: "On the advice of Salah, the Reds seem willing to put more than 20 million on the plate. And the Brazilian prefers the Premier to Juve."

20 million Euros converts to just over £17 million at current rates.

Emerson is 23-years-old and has been out of favour this season, making just one Serie A appearance.

BBC Sport reported earlier today that Chelsea are keen on Emerson, and have made an enquiry over his availability.
