Liverpool’s hopes to sign Alisson are at risk from Paris Saint-Germain.

Roma's Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson throws the ball during the UEFA Champions League Group C football match AS Roma vs FK Qarabag on December 5, 2017 at the Olympic stadium in Rome.

Paris Saint-Germain are set to enter the race to sign Roma goalkeeper Alisson, report Calciomercato.

The Brazilian’s performance for the Serie A side are generating huge interest, with Liverpool reported admirers.

Liverpool are searching for a new goalkeeper after dropping Simon Mignolet for the equally unconvincing Loris Karius.

The Times reported earlier today that while Mignolet is looking to quit the club, Alisson is a top target for Liverpool despite his £44 million price tag.

Roma undersold Mohamed Salah for £36 million and are determined not to sell any players too cheaply this summer.

PSG’s interest in Alisson only serves to drive up the price, and Liverpool are at serious risk of missing out especially if they do not move this January.

The French side have Brazilian internationals already at the club, Thiago Silva and Neymar, negating any advantage Liverpool may have considered they had with Roberto Firmino.

Alisson told Sky Sport Italia earlier this month that he would consider his future in the summer.

PSG have reportedly prioritised Alisson as a target after giving up on their hopes of signing Gigio Donnarumma from AC Milan.
