According to reports from the Sunday Mirror (printed edition; 14/01/2018 –page 66), Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace are weighing up a move for Galatasaray midfielder Papa Alioune 'Badou' Ndiaye.

The report claims that the 27-year-old has an £8 million release clause, which makes him an attractive, affordable target for Palace.

Hodgson has been doing a brilliant job since taking charge at Selhurst Park. The Eagles have moved to 12th in the Premier League table, after winning 1-0 against Burnley on Saturday.

However, Hodgson is looking to bolster the squad in the winter transfer window to add quality and depth to the side.

Ndiaye joined Gala from Turkish side Osmanlispor in August, but he has struggled to replicate his past exploits in Istanbul.

However, Palace are not the only ones vying for his signature. The Mirror claims that Watford are also keen to secure his signature in January.

Last week, Sky Sports reported that Stoke City are also looking to strengthen their midfielder and have made an enquiry for the Galatasaray midfielder.
