Lewis Grabban impressed on loan at Sunderland during the first half of the campaign, but has since returned back to Bournemouth.

The Birmingham Mail reports that Wolves and Aston Villa are both interested in bringing the striker to the Midlands, while the BBC claims the 30-year-old is on Cardiff City's wishlist.

Grabban scored 12 goals in 19 league games during the first half of the season at Sunderland, who've spent the majority of the season in the relegation zone.

His form for Sunderland has attracted the interest of promotion chasing clubs who are focusing on making it to the Premier League this season.

Grabban's predatory instincts could be that little bit extra teams are looking for, while he'll also provide excellent cover should one of those clubs lose a striker through injury.

Cardiff, Aston Villa and Wolves have Kenneth Zohore, Jonathan Kodjia and Leo Bonatini leading their respective lines. Should any of those players be missing or out of form then Grabban is the perfect man to come in. He's experienced, has the quality and knows what it takes to win promotion.

Grabban scored 12 times in 2014-15 to help Norwich City win promotion to the Premier League. His best season came at Bournemouth, where he scored 22 league goals in 2013-14.

Aston Villa and Cardiff in particular have struggle when Zohore and Kodjia have been missing. Villa's Scott Hogan has only scored once all season as the Ivorian's understudy.
