Sane is one of the best young attacking players in the world and has been in superb for City so far this season.
The 22-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, has been on the books of the Citizens since the summer of 2016 when he joined from German club Schalke for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £37 million.
The Germany international has revealed that he has turned down the chance to work with current Liverpool manager Klopp twice.
Sane has disclosed that he spoke to the former Borussia Dortmund manager before joining City in the summer of 2016, as well as when he was at Schalke.
“Before I joined City, I was talking with them,” Sane told The Scottish Sun. “Jurgen was calling me. He did a good job at Dortmund.
“I met him when he was there. He’s a good guy, a nice guy — honest. And he works well with Liverpool.”
“There was a time, when he was at Dortmund, when I was still in the academy that I could have gone there from Schalke,” added Sane. “But there was no thoughts at all to move to a rival.”
