Dembele is one of the best young strikers in Europe and is a key figure in the current Celtic team.
The 21-year-old striker was superb for Celtic during the 2016-17 campaign, but the Frenchman has not been at his best so far this season.
The France Under-21 international has been linked with moves away from the Glasgow giants in the January transfer window.
Celtic are one of the biggest clubs in the world and will feature in the Europa League round of 32 this season, but one can understand the temptation of moving to a club in the Premier League.
Everton, West Ham and Brighton all are big clubs, and all of them could well retain their respective Premier League status for the 2018-19 campaign.
Former Celtic striker Sutton does not think that Dembele’s dip in form is due to speculation on his future.
Sutton believes that the former Fulham youngster has struggled due to injuries, while Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers recently suggested to The Scottish Sun that the striker has been affected by transfer speculation.
“He has been nowhere near the same player but I wouldn’t buy any talk from the manager that he could be affected by transfer talk and that it could have an unsettling effect,” Sutton wrote about Dembele in The Daily Record.
“Dembele’s problem has been he was hammered early in the season by a recurrence of an injury and has barely made two consecutive appearances since returning.”
Meanwhile, Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney has said that he looks up to his teammate Scott Brown, and told the club's official website: “With Broony you see he works hard in training every day, plays every game and never wants to have a rest.
“He just wants to keep going and he’s the perfect captain for our team. For me, to look up to him and be on the same training pitch with him is brilliant.”
