Thomas Christiansen comments on Cameron Borthwick-Jackson future

Leeds United head coach Thomas Christiansen has admitted to Leeds Live that he does not know if Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has a future at the club.

Borthwick-Jackson joined Leeds on a season-long loan deal from Manchester United in the summer of 2017.

Much was expected of the 20-year-old defender when he arrived at Elland Road, but the left-back has struggled to make an impact at the West Yorkshire outfit.

The youngster has been able to play just once in the Championship so far this season.

According to The Daily Mail, United are set to recall Borthwick-Jackson from his loan spell at Championship club Leeds.

It has been reported that the Red Devils are disappointed with the lack of playing time for the left-back.

 Head coach Christiansen has suggested that Borthwick-Jackson’s future is up in the air, admitting that he does not know if he will remain at Elland Road for the rest of the season.

Christiansen told Leeds Live when asked if Borthwick-Jackson has a future at Leeds: “I don't know right now. He is not in the list because two days ago he got a kick and twisted his ankle and will be out.”
