A product of Everton's academy, Charsley has produced some excellent performances for the club at U23 level and made his senior debut in the Europa League victory over Apollon Limassol last month.

At the age of 21 Charsley is in need of playing time at senior level and this loan spell will provide an excellent opportunity for Everton to assess what level he is currently at.

Charsley has ambitions of establishing himself in the Everton side in due course, but for now he will be focused on making an impact for Bolton, who are currently just one point above the relegation zone in the Championship.

A neat passer of the ball, Charsley will be determined to prove that he can cope with the physical demands of the second tier of English football and it will be intriguing to see how he fares.
