Nottingham Forest fans appear to be divided over the rumours that they could move for Patrick Bamford.
Bamford was a trainee at Forest, before he moved to Chelsea, but his career has stalled in recent times.
Bamford was once considered to be one of England’s brightest strike prospects, but he has failed to live up to his billing.
The 24-year-old has failed to break into Middlesbrough’s team in a regular basis this term, and may be moved on over the coming weeks.
Some Forest fans are eager to see Bamford arrive at the City Ground, but others aren’t so keen on the idea.
absolutely! former championship player of the year... he’d walk into our starting 11 in my opinion— Hadleigh McKinlay (@hadersmck) January 11, 2018
Nah we need a jack in the box like Billy Sharpe— Nat Askew (@NatAskew) January 11, 2018
No thanks !! We have better at forest already, and there's better out there than mummy's boy— DGravener (@DGravener) January 11, 2018
We don’t need him— Forest Ann (@Ann2Forest) January 11, 2018
Yes why not, we need a poacher. He would thrive at nffc— therealjemmo (@NealButtery) January 11, 2018
He gets game time, we get a player who knows how to score. Brings back one of our own. Can't see the problem. Cummings deserves a try first though.— Cameron Clark (@Camclarky) January 11, 2018
If Bamford was to arrive at Forest, he would be in competition with the likes of Ben Brereton, Daryl Murphy and Jason Cummings for a first-team place.
Forest are currently in 14th place in the Championship table, with Karanka’s first match in charge set to come against Aston Villa.
