Tottenham Hotspur teenager Rodel Richards fired the club's under-18 side to a victory over Liverpool yesterday.

Spurs won the game 4-0 to progress to the Premier League Cup semi-finals.

The match was notable as it saw former England international midfielders Scott Parker and Steven Gerrard go head to head in the dugout.

Richards scored twice for Spurs to give Parker the bragging rights, while increasing his own growing tally for the season.

Richards hit the headlines in December when he scored back to back hat-tricks for the under-18s, earning comparisons with first team sensation Harry Kane.

He is not the only impressive Spurs striker in the side, with Reo Griffiths also scoring in the 4-0 win, with his goal opening the floodgates.

16-year-old winger Dilan Markanday added to the scoresheet, continuing to also mark himself out as a player to watch.

Gerrard's Liverpool side have been in fine form this season, topping the league table and their UEFA Youth League group, making Tottenham's victory even more notable.
