West Ham United striker Andy Caroll has been linked with a move away from the London Stadium.
But Quinn feels that West Ham would be making a mistake to sell Carroll, as he is still a useful player for David Moyes’ side.
“I’m surprised they are selling Andy Carroll,” Quinn said.
“Why are they selling him? They need every useful player they’ve got at the moment!”
Carroll has struggled at West Ham this season, with goals not flowing frequently.
The England international forward scored twice against West Bromwich Albion recently, but Carroll has not hit the back of the net before or after that.
West Ham are thought to be wanting to add a striker to their ranks this month, but they are yet to make a signing so far.
Carroll’s departure could increase Moyes’ transfer budget, but whether the Scot will actually agree to a sale remains to be seen.
West Ham are currently in 15th place in the Premier League table, just two points above the drop zone.
