Tottenham Hotspur fans believe that Mauricio Pochettino will be fuming at seemingly missing out in the race for Ross Barkley to Chelsea.

The Telegraph have reported how Barkley is now set to move to Chelsea in a £15 million deal.

Tottenham have had their eyes on Barkley for some time, but it seems that the Everton man will be heading to Stamford Bridge.

And Spurs fans fear that Pochettino will be fuming with Daniel Levy, over his failure to secure Barkley’s signature.

If the Barkley news is true then I don’t see Poch staying beyond this season. If Levy won’t back him in the transfer market he won’t stay he can do far better than us. Even if he does makes subs far too late.

Tottenham had been hoping to secure Barkley on a free transfer at the end of the season, once his contract at Everton expires, but Chelsea are set to pay £15 million to force through a deal.

Tottenham could have been aided by Barkley’s arrival, as he would have bolstered their midfield options and provided more competition for Dele Alli.

Spurs will now have to look elsewhere, as Pochettino looks to add to his options.

Tottenham are thought to have money to spend in the January transfer window, but they are yet to complete a signing.
