It is only a matter of time before Alexis Sanchez leaves Arsenal, whether it be this January or the summer transfer window when his contract expires
Arsenal are supposedly now eyeing up a move for out of favour Real Madrid forward Lucas Vazquez as a replacement for the outward-bound Alexis Sanchez, according to Spanish publication DonBalon.
It is common knowledge that Sanchez is desperate to leave the Emirates. Out of contract in the summer, it is understood that leaving in January is the preferred option for the Chilean as opposed to one last half-season at Arsenal before moving on as a free agent.
Spain international Lucas Vazquez seems to have fallen out of favour at the Bernabeu
Vazquez enjoyed a great start to his Madrid career; however, he has fallen out of favour in recent times and has only started five La Liga games under Zinedine Zidane this season.
The 26-year-old Spaniard is a two-time Champions League winner and would undoubtedly add proven quality to the Gunners' roster.
Vazquez himself is reportedly interested in the move and he looks to kick start his stagnated career with eyes on replicating Sanchez in becoming the main man at the Emirates.
Lucas Vazquez has proven quality and would surely be a great addition to Arsenal's attacking options
Whether it be this January or next summer, Sanchez is expected to make the switch from London to Manchester to join Pep Guardiola’s City.
It has been understood that Guardiola is keen on landing the Chilean’s signature this January following the news that Gabriel Jesus could be out for a period of up to two months after suffering a nasty knee injury against Crystal Palace last month.
