Halme is set to sign for Leeds in the coming days, and he will become the Yorkshire side’s first signing of the January transfer window.
Leeds have worked hard to get a deal done for the in-demand youngster, who will pen a four and a half year contract at Elland Road.
Leeds faced competition from a host of clubs to sign Halme, but they have won the race for the youngster’s signature.
Halme currently plays for HJK Helsinki, and despite only being 19 years old, he boasts a good amount of first-team experience.
The Finnish youth international has made 36 first-team appearances for Helsinki and is regarded as one of the best young talents in Finland.
Halme is likely to be placed into Leeds’ development squad upon arrival at Leeds, as he is seen as a player for the future, rather than someone who can immediately break into Thomas Christiansen’s first-team.
