West Ham United fans on Twitter seem open to the idea of signing Newcastle United's Jonjo Shelvey in January.
The Mirror reported on Friday night that West Ham manager David Moyes was a fan of the Newcastle midfielder, who has received two red cards this season.
The report went on to claim that the Magpies would be looking to recoup the £12 million that they paid for him two years ago.
Moyes has previously claimed this month that he is in the market for midfielders with Premier League experience and the 25-year-old certainly seems to fit the bill.
But would West Ham fans have him? According to many of them on social media, yes.
He's a very good player mate. Would be a decent signing!— West Ham Fan Zone (@WHUFCFZ) December 30, 2017
I think he’s a really good player, obviously I don’t follow anyone else like West Ham so I don’t know why he’s on bench but he’s young what.. 24 max? Can pass really well , gets stuck in, holds midfield what we need really— Jordan⚒ (@MichailDiCanio) December 30, 2017
Good signing if he can stop getting sent off— Stuart Dillon (@StuartDillon1) December 30, 2017
Agree, he’s a player you hate playing against but would love in your team, a better option to Fellaini who is similar imo— Mac (@Macthehammer) December 30, 2017
As long as we get a better cdm I would be very pleased with this signing— ⚒RobWHU2018⚒ (@Westham2018) December 30, 2017
Shelvey to West Ham rumours please, please, please, please, please be true— Jamie Dale (@Obafemi9) December 29, 2017
I want jonjoe Shelvey at West Ham— Stevie “WHU” Sizzle (@TheSullis) December 18, 2017
Make it happen— Mike Watts (@WattsyMike) December 29, 2017
Jack Wilshere is another one to have been linked with West Ham, but surely he should be the priority over Shelvey.
The Arsenal man dazzled in the 3-2 win at Crystal Palace in midweek, reminding Gunners fans of his class, and he would be a much better signing than the Newcastle ace.
