West Ham United defender Reece Oxford has posted a Tweet in the midst of reports suggesting that he could make a permanent switch to Borussia Monchengladbach, but Hammers fans have urged him to stay.
German newspaper Bild claim Gladbach are closing in on the permanent signing of 19-year-old Oxford, despite making just two Bundesliga starts for his loan club this season.
It is believed that the Hammers have lowered their asking price from £7.1million to £5.5million for the versatile England youth international, which is more to Gladbach's liking.
Oxford posted on his Twitter account a picture of him in action for Gladbach in the DFB Pokal against Bayer Leverkusen, tackling Germany international Kevin Volland.
It was just his fourth appearance in all competitions for Gladbach, making a one-minute substitute appearance against Hoffenheim in October before starting his loan side's last three matches.
West Ham fans reacted on Twitter after hearing of the news he could be sold permanently, urging the Hammers academy product to remain at the London Stadium with one fan even stating: "stay forever".
