Everton held West Bromwich Albion to a 0-0 draw at the Hawthorns yesterday.
Everton fans have slated Tom Davies, after his performance against West Bromwich Albion yesterday.
Everton managed to pick up a 0-0 draw against West Brom, as their unbeaten record continued under Sam Allardyce.
Davies was selected to start in the contest, but the youngster failed to catch the eye at the Hawthorns.
The 19-year-old was wasteful in possession, and was taken off in the latter stages of the contest.
Davies’ form this season has not matched his displays of last season, when he broke into the starting line-up and caught the eye.
And some Everton fans now want Davies taken out of the team, and for Allardyce to give another one of his midfield options a run of games.
Bit worried about Davies' form at the moment too. Feels like he could do with a few games off, although not sure the resources are there to pull him out #EFC— Matt Jones (@MattJFootball) December 26, 2017
In this formation/style or whatever it is, Davies has been mostly anonymous again this week.— Marc (@Rochey_efc) December 26, 2017
Tom Davies has been terrible. He seems to be much more effective lately coming on as a substitute #EFC— Morgan (@MorganEFC) December 26, 2017
How is Davies still on the pitch... been our worst player by a mile #EFC— Ben (@BT_1878) December 26, 2017
Davies looked out of his depth today, all over the place #efc— Jay Kennedy (@JayKennedyEFC) December 26, 2017
Kieran Dowell > Tom Davies— Matty (@_MattyEFC) December 26, 2017
I agree they should be spared and form with young players will dip, however Davies needed hooking for his OWN good weeks ago. Unfortunately Koeman/walsh left us in a situation where these boys are having to be flogged because of a totally unbalanced squad.— Lee Mustafa (@muss_efc1878) December 26, 2017
Despite Everton fans’ concerns over Davies’ displays, as a team the Toffees have improved considerably since Allardyce took charge.
Everton are now in ninth place in the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Bournemouth on Saturday.
