Crystal Palace are reportedly ready to cash in on Everton target Patrick van Aanholt.

According to The Mirror, Crystal Palace are prepared to sell Everton target Patrick van Aanholt in January – and want to bring in Southampton’s Matt Targett as a replacement.
Palace drew 1-1 away at Swansea City on Saturday afternoon to make it eight games unbeaten and just one win in the last 10, a run which has seen them climb out of the relegation zone.
The Eagles still need reinforcements in January, and it seems that manager Roy Hodgson is lining up a new left back ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

The Mirror report that Palace are eyeing up Southampton’s Matt Targett for a move to Selhurst Park, with manager Hodgson allegedly eyeing him as a replacement for Patrick van Aanholt.
Van Aanholt, 27, hasn’t started a Premier League game for over two months now, and is struggling for first-team football under Hodgson, meaning a January switch could be on the cards.
The Dutchman is believed to be a target for Everton, with new Toffees manager Sam Allardyce keen to reunite having worked with the former Chelsea youngster at both Sunderland and Crystal Palace.

If Van Aanholt does make the move to Goodison Park in January, then that may pave the way for Southampton youngster Targett to make a switch to South London after starting just one Premier League game this term.
The 22-year-old has featured for the England Under-19’s, 20’s and 21’s meaning Hodgson should be familiar with him from the England setup, and having been stuck behind Ryan Bertrand at Southampton, the time may be right for him to move on.
