HITC Sport spoke to three Sheffield Wednesday supporters ahead of the January transfer window.
Sheffield Wednesday's season has gone from bad to worse, culminating in the departure of manager Carlos Carvalhal on Christmas Eve.
Could the January transfer window be the catalyst for improvement at Hillsborough? HITC Sport caught up with three Owls fans to see what's in store...

Does your team need to sell to buy in January? In theory, no, however, I don't think [chairman, Dejphon] Chansiri will just keep pouring money into the team. He's invested heavily so far, and I'm not sure he will continue to put in without shipping a couple of players out.
In what positions are they over-stocked? A couple of midfielders have disappointed this season, though I wouldn't say we are over-stocked in any area. The issue is, that we tend to have the same sort of midfielders, meaning we do lack pace.
Which player do you most fear losing in January? Gary Hooper.
Which player would you most like to see the back of? I'd love to see a few players go out on loan, like Cameron Dawson has done recently. Lucas Joao desperately needs to do something, as he is truly wasted at the moment. Similarly, I'm not sure there will ever be a place in the side for Marco Matias, and Almen Abdi has struggled to find his Watford form with us, so I'd say it would be best for him to move on.
Which players do you expect to leave Hillsborough in January? I think Joao will probably be sent out on loan again to gain first team experience, but I can't see anyone leaving on permanent deals.

Do Sheffield Wednesday need to sell to buy in January? I think we need to do both. We need more quality at the back and on the wing. We've needed that for years but it hasn't happened for some reason. And there's plenty of players who are not good enough or too expensive to be kept on the wage bill to play under-23 games only.
In what positions are they over-stocked? We are okay for strikers one would assume. However, none bar Gary Hooper have hit expectations this season and I wouldn't lose sleep if we get rid of Joao, [Jordan] Rhodes, Steven Fletcher and Atdhe Nuhiu in January as long as they were replaced adequately. I would love Rhodes to do well and I can't remember when I have rooted for a player as much as him. But they way we are playing at the moment is not suited to his strengths and he doesn't seem like the type of player who can adapt either.
Which player do you most fear losing in January? Barry Bannan and [Adam] Reach have been our best players this season, and Hooper is excellent too on his day. [Keiren] Westwood, despite not having his best season, is still one of the best 'keepers outside the top flight. So those are the players we really need to hold on to if we have any ambitions of promotion.
Which player would you most like to see the back of? As much as I would love to see Marco Matias and Almen Abdi come in and prove me wrong, I honestly can't see it ever happening. If we get a cash offer for either of these two players, I would drive them to their new clubs myself. They are talented for sure, but sometimes transfers don't work out.
Which players do you expect to leave Hillsborough in January? Young prospect George Hirst will be gone as soon as the calendars are replaced on people's walls, but we know that is going to happen with his contract stand off, which is a real shame. I don't care he is the son of a legend, he's got a big future ahead of him and it would have been great to see him play. You see how young [David] Brooks has done at Sheffield United and it makes you wonder if he could have done the same here if given a chance. But his head has been turned by his greedy advisers who have put their needs over his career and I'd be shocked if he ever plays for us at any level again.
Neil Stewart (Neil remains unconvinced by Twitter)
Do Sheffield Wednesday need to sell to buy in January? Yes. Due to big fees for players such as Reach and Rhodes, and big wages for Fletcher and Hooper, we are close to the Financial Fair Play limits so we would need to trim wages to free up any big fees or salaries.
In what positions are they over-stocked? Up front. Hooper, Nuhiu, Joao, Rhodes, Fletcher and the supposedly imminent return of [Fernando] Forestieri means there isn't room for all our strikers in the matchday 18.
Which player do you most fear losing in January? Our most saleable asset based on this season would be Hooper, but Premier League clubs have also been sniffing around Tom Lees previously.
Which player would you most like to see the back of? Most fans agree that Marco Matias has been ineffective on his rare appearances, so he would be an obvious candidate for a move.
Which players do you expect to leave Hillsborough in January? George Hirst to Everton looks a goer. Other than that, Matias could return to Portugal on loan and having been loaned out during the second half of last season, history may repeat itself for Joao.
