France possess arguably the most fearsome forward line in world football right now – so Celtic striker Moussa Dembele knows he faces a huge challenge forcing his way into Didier Deschamps World Cup squad.
But, according to the Gambling Times, the 21-year-old striker is dreaming of playing a part in Russia next summer, and believes that a January move to the Premier League will give him the best possible chance of booking a seat on the plane.
It is understood that Everton boss Sam Allardyce is a big fan of the one-time PSG youngster. And with The Toffees’ squad still lacking a clinical centre-forward to complement the creativity of Wayne Rooney and co, The Toffees may be ready to test Celtic’s resolve in January.
Though the Gambling Times add that Everton are far from the only Premier League side interested - with Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Liverpool, West Ham and Brighton all thought to be big fans of the player who scored 32 goals in a stunning debut season for Celtic.
Dembele, who moved to Parkhead on a bargain deal from Fulham in 2016, will not attempt to force a move in the New Year, but the Daily Record has reported that he has indicated that things can change.
