Arsenal overcame Newcastle United on Saturday but their fans were not impressed with every Gunners player.
Arsenal’s 1-0 victory against Newcastle United inflicted yet more pain on a Magpies side that is heading in only one direction, while the Gunners moved back into the top four.
Arsenal won courtesy of a Mesut Ozil goal midway through the first half, yet Arsene Wenger’s side made tough work of it thereafter, failing to score the killer second strike and leaving their fans anxious right up until the final whistle.
The home side managed 23 goal attempts yet, with only five of those on target, Arsenal’s front men need to ensure their wastefulness does not come back to haunt them in the weeks to come.
Alex Iwobi was again in the starting line-up, playing 72 minutes before being replaced by Danny Welbeck, yet the right winger again failed to justify his place in the side and Wenger’s continued faith in him.
Iwobi has now featured 74 times for Arsenal but, with only seven goals and 12 assists to date, he still has a lot of work to do to win over his doubters.
