According to the Hammers’ official website, the London club had to pay the Swans a transfer fee of £20.5 million in order to secure the services of the Ghana international attacker.

Ayew, who can operate as a striker, winger or attacking midfielder, was described as “outstanding” by West Ham’s official website upon his arrival at the London Stadium.

The Ghana international had injury issues last season and was able to make only 16 Premier League starts, scoring six goals and providing three assists in the process.

So far this season, Ayew has scored two goals and provided two assists in seven league starts for the Hammers.

Swansea, like West Ham, are struggling for survival in the Premier League, and signing a player of Ayew’s quality and experience would be great for them.
