Jamie Carragher has taken a dig at Everton fans on social media website Twitter, following their victory over Newcastle United.
Everton have made a bright start to life under Sam Allardyce, with positivity flooding back to Goodison Park.
And Carragher says that he can tell that Everton are doing well again, as the reaction towards him from Toffees supporters has changed.
When Everton fans are doing well they abuse me, but when they’re struggling they befriend me!— Jamie Carragher (@Carra23) December 13, 2017
Everton’s form has been transformed ever since Sam Allardyce took charge, four matches ago.
Allardyce has won three matches already, and he managed to help the Toffees to a draw over Liverpool.
Everton have conceded just once in Allardyce’s first four games in charge, with their defence now looking very secure.
The Toffees picked up their victory over Newcastle thanks to a first-half goal from Wayne Rooney, with the veteran forward capitalising on an error from Karl Darlow.
Everton are now in 10th place in the Premier League table, and all of a sudden they are looking up the standings rather than down.
