Harry Forrester, Matt Crooks and Martyn Waghorn have all taken to Twitter to praise Josh Windass after he scored Rangers' equaliser in their Scottish Premiership clash with Hibernian on Wednesday night shortly before Alfredo Morelos put the Gers ahead.
Rangers found themselves a goal down at Easter Road early on as Lewis Stevenson broke the deadlock inside nine minutes thanks to a deflection that took the ball away from Wes Foderingham, and they were handed another blow just moments later when Kenny Miller pulled up with injury and had to be replaced by Daniel Candeias.
But the Gers ensured that they went into the break ahead as Windass continued his sensational run of form in front of goal since Graeme Murty took charge for a second time by bagging the equaliser just before the interval with a brilliant strike into the bottom corner.
It was Windass' fifth goal in his last eight games. And Forrester praised the forward on social media immediately after he scored, and was joined by two of his former Rangers teammates in lauding the 23-year-old.
The goal was not the last of the first-half as Alfredo Morelos helped turned the game on its head in stoppage-time as he powered the ball home from a tight angle after some good work inside the box.
It looks like it could be another high-scoring game between the two teams after they played out a five-goal thriller at Ibrox earlier in the campaign which Neil Lennon's men edged.
